Great family restaurant. Super good prices and large portions. Service is adequate but quick and often short. Clean place. Get there early in season to avoid waiting.

Definitely not the Mel's it used to be! French fries were not cooked in oil that was hot they looked like they soaked it up. And the Reuben wasn't as good as it was in the past. Would I go back? Doubtful

Big fan here. The menu is expansive enough to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. Prices are more than reasonable and the quality is good. The manager, Dave (I think that's his name), makes it a point to drop by every table at some point during the meal to see if the customers are satisfied. Not really a place to hang out and drink booze, but the beer prices on the menu were rock bottom.

I went there with my dad from nc and my finance, We all were happy with the menu and the service. The salads came out as a half of lettuce. There were enough items on the menu for all out taste buds. My dad order the fish all you can eat with a panko coating it was yummy, and a second helping was received pretty quick, I ordered the salmon and loved that I could get sweet potato fries with it, but was not happy with the vegetable because I like only corn and green bean not frozen vegetables with no flavor. My finance ordered the prime rib he loves it but did not like the fat but we say yes to the meat but maybe that was there for flavor. Over all our service was great and restraunt is always packed. It is a dinner type restraunt from the 50's. Everything was given in a good time. I have never tried breakfast but I did like if you go there on friday and saturday then u get more food for your money=three course meal. Prices were great.

Ate at Mel's last night. We had about a half hour wait for a table which wasn't bad considering it was "prime" time. Nice place, super clean. I had a full rack of baby back ribs, a baked potato and cole slaw for, if you can believe it, $10.99! I also had a glass of their house red wine for $2.65. We are from NJ and my wife ordered a " black and white shake", which they had never heard of. She said it was much too sweet when it arrived. All in all, good , reasonably priced food. We will be back.

Third visit.....always good...waitresses are hysterical.....food is great and some fun creative dishes. Great value for the money...no brainier!
